This conservatively graded 1880 quarter retains its original steely luster under a coating of natural coin gray patina. Bright light inspection revealed peripheral luster on the obverse and more widespread radiance throughout the reverse. Surfaces are well preserved to a level above the certified grade. This offering has old time eye appeal that is better than illustrated by the GFRC images. A CAC stickering attempt should be considered by the new owner. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2024) holder.
