Another Tenafly Collection lot that was sourced from GFRC as a long standing Seated dime in the Gerry Fortin reference collection. Large O 1840-O dimes are very scarce as compared to their Small O counterparts. The F-102 die pairing is rare and might be under estimated at the present R5 rarity rating. This is the lone F-102 ever offered by GFRC. This crusty original specimen was purchased during February 2001 and become the F-102 plate coin within The Definitive Resource for Liberty Seated Dime Variety Collectors online reference. Conservatively graded as should be readily apparent when viewing the images. Strike is complete with bold motifs. Surfaces are toned an even gray with embedded blues on the reverse.
