$1400 		Low Mintage Issue, Lightly Mirrored Fields, Honey Green-Gold, Choice Overall, White Pine Collection. U.S. quarter and half eagle Liberty gold is full of low mintage issues as is the case with this 1894-O offering from the White Pine Collection at 16,600. This is an accurately graded AU58 example with notable eye appeal. Light rub is noted on Liberty's check and hair curls. Both sides exhibit steely-frosted luster with some reverse cartwheel under angled lighting. Noted gold specialist, Doug Winter, opines at the PCGS price guide that "every example of this date that I have seen displays deep abrasions o the obverse and reverse." Though this lot does have a few light abrasions, the eye appeal is dominated by the luster and coloring. Worthy of a GFRC-Choice quality rating and certain to please the new owner.
