Near-Gem Original, Museum Quality and Originality, Multi-Color Toning. This lovely 1825 O-111 early half presents old time crusty toning that I've previously associated with finely patinaed world silver crowns as seen in a large Asian museum. The originality is fully unquestionable given the underlying steely luster that is still able to radiate through the multi-color toning. Under a bright light, the darker in-hand coloration lightens, especially on the reverse as expected. The primary colors are varying shades of pastel blue, burnt orange, aquamarine-blue, and yellow gold. Surfaces are essentially unabraded. Under a 10x, the reverse exhibits light "dirt" in the protected areas. This piece offers the classic CACG "look". Please check the GFRC Sales Archive for pricing history as the current CAC Price Guide is not reflective of market action at the AU55 grade. Housed in new CAC Grading (2023) holder and graded consistent with CAC approval standards. December 1969
