 Original $365 Top 100 Variety #2, Horizontal Reverse Die Crack, Small Date, Original Surfaces. A popular Top 100 die variety whereby the reverse die develops a significant die crack starting from the rim at 9:00, through UNIT(E)D, the wreath, (O)NE and ending at DI(ME). This reverse die state also shows considerable erosion around the legend along with reverse rotation of 23 degrees left. Original surfaces are toned an even medium gray. An ancient rim cut below the date is noted for accuracy. Accurately graded and housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder. 1837 Variety 103a is rated as R3 for examples grading VF or better and can be located with careful searching of online dealer 1837 Small Date listings.Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder with No Stars and Small Date on Label.
