Gem $1100 New May 1! Gem Original, Attractive Peripheral Gold Toning, Scarce Grade, Scenic Lakeview Collection. Though having a mintage of 15 million, 1922 Denver struck Peace dollars become scarce with full gem certification. This attractively toned example has garnered an all important (+) designation for its peripheral gold toning and overall eye appeal. Luster falls into the frosted realm though the surfaces were struck from eroded dies. Under a bright light, the peripheral toning shifts to green that intermixes with the light copper-gold.
