$2990 		Gem Original, Cumberland County Collection.. This 1916-D lot exhibits white frosted luster that has the "satiny look" often seen on the earlier dated Walkers. The date is similar in scarcity to its Philadelphia counterpart even though having a higher mintage. Granular mint frost covers the devices and fields on this untoned example. Cartwheels are vibrant under a bright light while surfaces are pristine. Strike is typical with partial vertical skirt lines and a partial thumb. Clearly a luster play with its bold white radiance. CAC has approved a total of 322 examples 26 finer. The PCGS price guide is $3750 as reference. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #6567. December 1969
