$450 		Small Thin S, Choice Original, JBN Collection.. The 1874-S issue comes with two different mintmark styles though the sizes are similar. A small thin S mintmark characterizes the F-102 pairing along with a propensity for weak reverse strikes. This JBN example is typical with even light gray toning that meets my definition of natural coin gray. Surfaces are well preserved and essentially unabraded given the amount of time in circulation. Only 18 examples total are presently stickered with a CAC price guide value of $455 being inexpensive for the availability. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2024) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #4670.
