 Choice $1500 Large O, Choice Original, Scarce Die Variety, Crusty Gray Patina, Accurately Graded. Listed separately by Briggs as 3-F and the lone 1843 reverse die with a Large O mintmark. Later captured by the Cherrypickers Guide and listed as FS-501. Always found in lower circulated grades with the finest PCGS holdered being an AU53 example. This Fine 15 example is noteworthy for its strict originality and choice surfaces. Crusty gray patina covers both sides. CAC approval is absolutely warranted due to originality and accurate grading. Overall, an essentially unimprovable example for the collector wishing to fill the #5 spot, in a Top 25 Varieties set. Housed in a PCGS Gen 5.0 Dupont hologram holder with CAC approval.
