 Choice $1250 New March 3! Cameo Designation, Near-Gem Original, Evergreen State Collection.. We continue the Evergreen State proof dime auction sale with the second of three 1876 date pieces. This near-gem cameo designated lot displays watery mirrors and light copper hues on the obverse with a more haloed presentation on the reverse. Frosted devices are appropriately framed by the contrasting fields. The strike is nearly complete as With Legend proof issues still suffer weakness at the upper left reverse wheat grains. A few wispy hairlines within the obverse right field are consistent with the certified grade. A challenging date regardless of 1,150 being produced when fully choice. F-103 with reverse die doubling on DIM(E). Only 13 examples with a Cameo designation have been approved at CAC with four finer. The CAC price guide estimates market value at $950 which is understated and needs reconsideration by the CDN staff. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval.
