 Choice $450 Medium Date, Steely Gray Reflectance, Peripheral Orange-Gold, Choice Overall, Sooner Collection. Bright light viewing is were the fun is for this GFRC-Choice rated 1842 WB-11 half dollar. The surflaces are steely reflective with some calling the fields partially mirrored. Orange-gold covers the obverse with darker borders. The reverse is mostly untoned with copper-gold at the right edge. Strike is complete with bold motifs stronger than the certified grade would suggest. Rub is consistent across the devices and fields. An attractive example that is consistent with the lots being released by the Sooner Collection. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2015-2020) holder.
