The Indiana Collection is back with an important Liberty Seated dime release that fans of the series should seriously consider. To drive home that point, let's go with a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation as I'm thoroughly impressed with this lot for multiple reasons. Firstly, this is the finest F-102 double die obverse specimen that I've handled. Obverse die doubling in evident in multiple locations including the horizontal shield lines, throughout AMERICA and below Liberty's foot. Actually, the easier diagnostic point for the F-102 is a long diagonal die scratch in the base and lower gown. This die scratch is clearly visible above the 90 in the date. Second is the frosted surfaces that present brilliant radiance under a bright light along with vibrant cartwheels. Finally, the eye appeal is superb with copper-gold at the borders. Though the 1890-S double die obverse has never been promoted or included in the Top 100 Varieties, it is a really cool doubled die in the series. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2024) holder with CAC approval.
