 Choice $2200 New March 19! Important Post Civil War Date, Granular Frosted Luster, Choice Original, Sooner Collection.. 1867 is notable for the beginning of the post Civil War Reconstruction era and the Alaska Purchase. A total of 1,196,000 Seated halves were struck in San Francisco with the usual challenges in locating well preserved Mint State survivors. PCGS has graded all of 27 in Mint State with this new Sooner Collection release being at a value grade but still offering choice surfaces and luster. The luster is thick and frosty with vibrant cartwheels under angled lighting. Surfaces are untoned with a hint of gold at the borders. This offering is technically Mint State with faint lines in the obverse right field. The offer price is fair value and then some. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.
