Gem $1750 Final Year of Issue, Flashy Frosted Radiance, Gem Original, Mirror Collection. 1873 brought the elimination of the silver half dime denomination as the Shield nickel had been struck since 1866 and proven to be a successful replacement. This last year of issue example is accurately graded and compelling. Under a bright light. the steely-frosted radiance is quite "flashy" coupled with spinning cartwheels. Don't let the darker blue and greenish-gray toning, as seen in the GFRC images, discourage you from considering a purchase.
