This 1889 F-126 Seated dime offering is an important opportunity for the die varieties enthusiast. The misplaced 1 and 8 digits in the shield are bolding defined and so satisfying. A late die state strike with obverse die erosion and die cracks in the legend and reverse wreath. Under a bright light, frosted luster is consistent with its gem status. An obverse rose center is framed by aquamarine at the borders while the reverse is toned a consistent aquamarine with hints of peripheral gold. A truly fine example of this major misplaced date variety. Housed in NGC Gen 5 (1992-1995) Fatty holder with fresh CAC approval obtained by GFRC.
