This Sheffield Collection release offers glowing frosted luster and eye catching obverse toning. When viewed with a bright light, the darker in-hand shades quickly fade and reveal a moderate orange-gold center toning surrounded by sky blues and a hint of outer rose at 12:00 to 2:00. The obverse hues are also seen on the reverse but lighter and circumferential. The die pairing is unlisted with a Denticle Ruler measurement of -1R which does not match the only web-book listing (F-103) with that date punch location. Sometimes I worry about using too many superlatives to describe the superior coins that cross my desk. This one is an unquestionable gem and deserves a JUST BUT IT NOW recommendation. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
