 Choice $1900 New March 18! With Arrows Type, Satiny Luster, Choice Original, City by The Bay Collection.. The 1874-S Seated dime issue was struck with two distinctly different reverse dies. The first is the scarcer F-101 Micro S along with the more available F-102 Small Thin S reverse. The latter reverse saw more time in the minting presses as example with die erosion and cracks can be located. Such is the case for this City By The Bay Collection release. Both sides present a satiny appearance, under bright light, with some light reflectivity. The overall strike is quite strong though the weakness at the top of Liberty's head is commonplace. More important are the well struck devices on the reverse as I have seen some flat and ugly F-102a examples in my travels. This offering is definitely worthy of your consideration for a date and mintmark set. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2005-2011) holder.
