R6 		Cleaned $500 New March 20! Rare F-114 Repunched Date, Claims to Finest Known, Cleaned, Indiana Collection. Astute students of the Liberty Seated die varieties known that the 1856 date is replete with repunched dates. Some are blatant while others are incredibly subtle with fully struck examples necessary to repunching artifacts. The Small Date F-114 die pairing falls into this category but with a twist. The die pairing is quite rare but easily "picked" by an X die scratch within Liberty right armpit and faint repunching at the right bottoms of the date digits with the 6 being the strongest. Given these attribution points, few have surfaces. Dr. Tim Cook suggests that this release is the finest known in terms of overall strike and diagnostics. The surfaces are a dull light gray from past cleaning but without hairlines. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
