Under a bright light, the radiance is sharp with swirling cartwheels adding another viewing dimension. A high relief strike is equally impressive as the wire rims are needle-sharp with meticulously defined motifs. A single planchet defect is noted in the left obverse field as made. Proof mintage dropped to 710 pieces this year with the impact being seen in the PCGS population report. Only 6 examples have been certified at the offered grade with six finer.
