The Panama-Pacific half dollar commemorative was design by Charles Barber (obverse) and George Morgan (reverse) and celebrated the opening of the Panama Canal at the 1915 exposiiton held in San Francisco. The artistry is beautiful with 27,134 struck. All silver and gold Pan-Pacific coinage continues to be highly popular with collectors.
