$625 		Pastel Shades, GFRC-Gem Rated, Massachusetts Collection.. The Massachusetts1883 Philadelphia strike is a long ago friend sold into that collection way back in November 2015 and what a pleasure to have an opportunity to update the Sales Archive with fresh images. Brilliant frosted is noted on both sides with the thicker aquamarine-gold patina being semi-transparent on the obverse and fully revealing on the reverse. The reverse cartwheels are stunning at the certified grade. The strike is fully executed with partial wire rims. This lot is conservative graded and worthy of a stretch bid. The CAC price guide lists $625 as fair value but I can see this lot selling at a higher level. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2025) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #4691. December 1969
