Steely Luster, Better San Francisco Date, Emerald Collection . 1874-S Seated halves are not as scarce as the prior year's issue but still should garner attention at the AU58 grade level with only 9 listed in the PCGS population report. The Emerald Collection is back with an AU58 graded duplicate that offers steely fields and the accompanying reflectance under a bright light. A light gold patina is further enhanced by mottled blue-gray accents on the upper obverse. Strike is typical for the issue with a few stars lacking center points. An ancient contact mark is noted on Liberty's left facing shoulder. WB-1 with die lines in the lower gown folds. Housed in new large font NGC holder.
