A richly original example toned in a soft mottling of steel-blue, golden-rose, champagne-pink and olive-gray patina. The strike is fully executed with surfaces that are exceptionally smooth and well preserved. Frosted luster is noted under a bright light. An excellent candidate to represent the brief Liberty Seated, No Drapery dime design in a high grade Mint State type set. F-111a and previously listed as Shattered Obverse #3 by Greer and included in the Top 100 Varieties set. The obverse features a bold bisecting crack meandering through Liberty's portrait and the reverse is cracked through the letters AT in STATES into the wreath.
