Gem $1100 New April 16! Hudson, New York Sesquicentennial, Rich Mint Bloom, Solid Gem, Evergreen State Collection. The Hudson, as it is fondly called, is a silver commem issued during 1935 that marked the 150th anniversary of the founding of Hudson, New York. Named after the explorer Henry Hudson, 25,265 pieces were struck. The reverse flagship, the Half Moon, reminds me of the 1892-1893 Columbian reverse given the commonality of early sailing ship designs. This example warrants its CAC green bean as perfectly original. A thick mint bloom, which coats both sides, scream originality. Active cartwheels are noted under a bright light. "Creamy" is the appropriate term for the radiance. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.3 (2004) holder with CAC approval.
