Gem $575 New April 19! Columbia SC, Sesquicentennial, Superb Preservation State, Evergreen State Collection. Souvenir half dollars helped finance the celebrations marking the sesquicentennial of the founding of Columbia SC in 1786. This commemorative was struck at all three mints and offered in sets. The mintage is reported at 8,007, a low number as compared to present day standards. The Evergreen State Collection has released this notably well preserved gem with its granular frosted finish and just a touch of golden toning at the peripheries. Surfaces are entirely pristine with boldly struck devices. This piece is the epitome of originality and warrants placement in another advanced early silver commemorative set being assembled. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2025) holder with CAC approval.
