 Choice $550 Low Mintage Issue, Peripheral Rainbow Toning, LaSalle Collection. Let's start the description for this desirable 1879 Seated quarter with a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation. Why, I'm liking the peripheral obverse rainbow toning on this scarce date with a mintage of only 13,600. This choice example was mostly likely stored in a Wayte Raymond album or similar resulting in the pretty obverse toning that is delightful under a bright light. The reverse is an even coin gray with hints of color at the rim. Unquestionably original with "dirt" in the protected areas. Strike is typical for the issue. This piece should go to CAC if the economics make sense for the new owner. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
