$350 		New July 29! Kam Ahwash Plate Coin, Thick Frosted Luster, Gerry Fortin Reference Collection. This 1872 F-102 dime was purchased during April 1993 when I was actively searching for Kamal Ahwash plate coins from his Encyclopedia of United States Liberty Seated Dimes 1837-1891. The dime is featured on page 240 with its unmistakable deep rose obverse toning while the reverse radiates thick frosted luster. The obverse strike is complete with a tripled punched 2 digit and misplaced digits on the gown. Rather than being employed as a web-book plate coin, I chose to simply keep this piece stored in a bank box as a memory of the numismatic giant who ignited my passion for the Liberty Seated dime series. Let's hope this dime is purchased by another passionate student of the series. December 1969
