Choice $3750 New September 19! Incredible Golden Cartwheel Luster, Fully Struck, Near-Gem, Sooner Collection. The Sooner Collection was an active buyer at the Oklahoma City ANA show resulting in the release of this Near-Gem 1869 duplicate. A stunning example with expectational eye appeal under a bright light. Steely-frosted luster is boldly radiant with swirling cartwheels that will call up the animal spirits even for seasoned collectors. The obverse features an untoned center that is surrounded by a copper-gold arc which further transitions to sky blue at the right rim. Light gold peripheral toning is noted on the reverse. The overall strike is intricately detailed with keen insight into Liberty's hair curls. Light toned over chatter n the lower right obverse field holds this piece back from a full GFRC-Gem quality rating though the eye appeal is full gem I'm going with a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation as this Sooner offering will definitely delight a new owner.
