 Original $1750 New June 29! Mintmark Far Left, Near-Choice Original, Evergreen State Collection. The Evergreen State Collection returns with an 1840-O No Drapery quarter that is attractive at the certified grade with limited contact marks and pleasing, light golden-gray toning dispersed over silvery, frosty surfaces. Moderate cartwheels are noted under a light source with strong reverse radiance due to the thinner patina. This issue is notorious for weakly struck motifs, especially Liberty's head and surrounding stars. This Briggs 1-A example, with the mintmark far left, offers a nearly complete strike with all stars being in high relief with just a touch of weakness at the top of the head and eagle neck feathers. A near-choice rated example due to several reverse contact marks. PCGS has certified 20 at the AU58 level with a price guide value set at $2250. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2025) holder.
