 Choice $3000 New September 15! No Motto Type, Olive-Gold Patina, Choice Surfaces, Sooner Collection. This is a strong example of the 1866-S No Motto variety that deserves some accolades. My first thought was why is this piece not CAC approved? Surfaces are unquestionably original and lighting toned with olive-gold shades. The underlying obverse field is lightly mirrored while the reverse offers frosted luster under a light source. This is one of the nicer No Motto examples that GFRC has had the opportunity to handle, first for the Newtown Collection, and now for the Sooner Collection, Serious collectors should take note of this offering and execute a JUST BUY IT NOW decision.
