Offered here is the 1845 F-102 plate coin within The Definitive Resource for Liberty Seated Dime Variety Collectors online reference with updated photography. The F-102 obverse die has die chips around Stars 3, 4, 5 and 6 and is paired with a late die state example of 1844 Reverse B when used again in 1845. The key diagnostic for identifying the left over 1844 reverse die is a die crack from the rim down through S(T)ATES into the wreath. This conservatively graded example is fully choice with golden-rose toning that is a bit more enhanced at the borders. This lot ships in its original cardboard 2x2 and dates back to a January 1997 purchase.
