Choice $675 Popular New Orleans Date, Natural Surfaces, Frosted Luster, Copper-Gold Patina, Osprey Collection. Struck to the tune of 290,000, the 1851-O date is available in most grades but still a better date than its Philadelphia counterpart. I'm liking this AU58 surivor for its light copper-gold coloration and frosted luster. Even at such a small size, there is some cartwheel action with a bright light. Well preserved with a high relief strike and elevated rims. This is typical quality from the Osprey Collection and worth considering. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2023) holder.
