$800 		Low Mintage, Rare Grade, Original Light Gray, Steely Field Luster, Sunset Point Collection. An important 1868 Philadelphia strike offering given the low mintage of 29,400 pieces. This surviving example offers near choice surfaces that are covered with semi transparent light gray patina. Bright light viewing exposes steely fields that are crisply reflective. Strike is well executed with fully rounded stars. Some faint obverse field chatter holds this one back from a choice quality rating. Housed in old NGC holder with standard white ring insert and small reverse hologram.
