All 1878 dimes struck with Type 1 reverse hub are considered full R5 rarity. Locating any example will take considerable searching and much patience. GFRC is pleased to offer this choice original F-103 example with lightly mirrored fields that generate ample reflective cartwheel luster. Toning is limited to peripheral rose-gold on both obverse and reverse. Sharp wire rims are present on both sides and further validate the assigned grade. Reverse was struck from doubled and heavily clashed die. A gorgeous Type 1 reverse example that will easily grade at your TPG or choice.
