$1300 		Incredible Obverse Hammered Strike, Choice Original Surfaces, Steely Luster, Mottled Rose-Blue Patina, Accurately Graded, Sunset Point Collection. Mintage of 734,000 and a heavily melted issue for its silver bullion content. Mint state survivors are relatively scarce in today's market. This example has a monster obverse strike with sharpness of a proof. However, the reverse strike is weak with the eagle's left shield border, left facing)leg, and arrow fletchings being soft. Rich forest-green, gold, and rose toning on found on each side and is stronger near the peripheries. A few tiny field marks and hairlines limit the grade. Die pairing is unlisted by Briggs and later classified as Johnson 103 in a E-Gobrecht article. Housed in old NGC holder with standard ring insert.
