Obverse 4.2 Reverse E.2
Obverse Diagnostic Point

Comments: Obverse 4 is approaching a terminal die state. The first die crack is severe and has taken a shelf like appearance. I have used a light source to highlight the metal "shelf" of the first die crack. A second die crack has formed from the rim, through Star 7 and into Liberty's shoulder. The severity of both die cracks suggests that the die is about to break apart leaving a retained cud that would eliminate Star 7. Does anyone own an example of this variety with a completely terminal die state?
