Comments: The single 1874 proof obverse die is easily recognizable due to a large die defect directly above the center point of Liberty's neckline. In addition, the 4 digit exhibits some minor repunching above the left and right feet of the digit. Some scattered die lines are also found across Liberty's lower body. The proof reverse die is perfect in this early die state.
