Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Obverse 7 was previously used to strike 1875-CC Below Wreath dimes. During its earlier die state, Obverse 7 was paired with Below Wreath Reverse A and exhibited some faint die cracks. When paired with the In Wreath Reverse E, Obverse 7 is extensively cracked. See the illustrations above.
A soft die scratch in the upper left wreath, resembling a jalapeno chili pepper, can help diagnose reverse E. There is a die defect above D(I)ME. Also, there is a die crack in the lower right wreath that starts at 3:30 on the rim and exits at 5:00.
