Obverse 3 Reverse D
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Variety 104 features important attributes on both Obverse 3 and Reverse D. Of most significance, is the unfilled Micro S mintmark on Reverse D. This unfilled Micro S mintmark variety is extremely rare with the author knowing of only two examples in Seated dime variety specialist collections. Interestingly, the reverse is rotated right by 18 degrees on this variety. Obverse 3 also has important diagnostic points. The right edge of the shield bisects the top loop of a misplaced 8 digit. Both examples of Variety 104 that I have seen exhibited a weak head and a die crack that starts at the bottom of STA(TES) and moves through Liberty's head to the rim.
