Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: All four digits of the date are repunched. The most obvious repunching is above the base of the 1 digit and under the flag and at the bottom of the second 7 digit. The second 7 digit appears to be triple punched. Repunching is evident at the top of the lower loop of the 8 digit. Repunching can be seen under the flag and at the bottom of the the first 7 digit in the date. There is a long die scratch or die defect within the shield as illustrated above. Reverse F is found in a later die state when paired with Obverse 6. Die cracks originate from both sides of the mintmark into the ribbon ends. Severe cracking is seen at the edges of the oak leaves in the lower right wreath. Ahwash mentions a die defect on the upper right upright of DI(M)E.
