Ultimate #11 WB-10, Extensively Cracked Reverse, Original, Newtown Collection The deeper gray obverse reveals maroon streaks while the reverse is silver throughout with hints of gold patina in the protected areas. Fields are steely and exhibit a few hairlines under the toning. Star points are evident, although the reverse exhibits characteristic weakness in the left leg. WB-10, with the date punched to the left. The main characteristic of this die marriage is the extensively cracked reverse, with the radial cracks imparting a wheel and spoke effect. The dies are slightly rotated, which Bugert notes for certain late die state pieces. This is a variety with a lot going on, an interesting coin for the money. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
