Capped Bust 50C 1813 Capped Bust 50C 1813
Heavily Clashed Obverse, Original Gray with Teal Arc, Residual Luster, Accurately Graded, Santa Fe Collection. The Overton 110 variety features sharply clashed letters (from reverse scroll) below the bust and extending to lower left field by star 1. Triple die clashes are evident in the lettering. In this late die state, the reverse is heavily eroded with some loss of lower reverse devices, claws and olive leaves due to die lapping. This offered example, from the Santa Fe Collection, has substantial remaining luster and is strictly original. Surfaces are generally light gray while the obverse has a darker teal arc from top of cap down to star 13. Reverse also features a think deep blue arc at the lower rim. Strike is well executed for an early date open collar strike. Surfaces are blemish free. Accurately graded and housed in old blue label PCGS holder with standard ring insert.
