Ex. Reiver-Marx, Old Album Ring Toning, Residual Luster, Accurately Graded, A Premium Example. A superior 1832 Capped Bust quarter considering the assigned EF45 grade level. This lovely Browning 2 specimen (small thin arrow heads on reverse) scores well against GFRC evaluation criteria. First is the strict originality with residual mint frost surrounding all stars and reverse legend. Secondly is eye appeal as bright light inspection reveals old album toning rings of gold, yellow and blue at the periphery. When swirling this piece under a light source, the impression is that of full AU50 surfaces due to cartwheel luster. Finally, strike is well executed with only the left obverse stars lacking complete definition. Overall, a well balanced offering that will please the most selection Capped Bust collector. Housed in new PCGS Gen 6.0 holder with CAC approval. This piece also sports the Jules Reiver and Marx pedigrees and is worthy of special consideration. December 1969
