Gem Original at Grade, Brilliant Frosty Luster, Vibrant Cartwheels, Greenish-Gold Patina, Fully Struck . Let's open the description for this gem original 1915-S St. Gaudens with a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation. Honestly, there was an expectation for CAC Gold bean due to the lack of abrasions and brilliant frosty luster. In hand, this $20 double eagle looks more like a 64 than a 63 in my humble opinion. Greenish-gold patina covered surfaces offer vibrant cartwheels under a light source. Fully struck, in particular with well defined eyes and nose on Liberty's face. Housed in old NGC Fatty holder with brown label. Fresh CAC approval. Recently purchased from an old Sarasota collection and off the market for several decades. Yes, the asking price is high, but so is the old time quality. Please check CoinFacts and a 1/18 DLRC record at $1950 for a rattler MS63 with CAC approval as a comparison. This piece is a full MS64.
