Consignor Buy-Out/Price Reduction! WB-6, Quadrupled 2nd 8 Digit, Original Mottled Patina, Accurately Graded. A cool 1858-O die variety with multiple repunchings that appear in the upper loop of the 8 digit and also on the bottom of the base as a misplaced date. Bugert labels this die variety as a "Quadrupled 8" in his Federal Register series on New Orleans die varieties. This book is available for free as a PDF download on the LSCC website ( Surfaces are strictly original with mottled gray toning on both sides. Strike is fairly well executed with only a touch of weakness on the eagle's lower left facing leg. There are no blemishes worthy of mention. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 holder with attribution in the label that reads, "RPD WB-107". December 1969
