Choice $500 New August 23! Small Mintage, Brilliant Frosty Luster, Untoned Surfaces, Attractive Cartwheels. 1913 brought a huge blizzard to Denver during the month of December per online research. Mintage of the Barber half dollar was limited to roughly one half million strikes. The date is popular due to low mintage but did not circulate as other earlier dates. This AU58 survivor brings flashy brilliant luster to your collector. Bottom sides were struck by dies with a textured frost finishes. Surfaces are untoned at first glance but bright light inspection reveals faint peripheral gold. There is rub on the cheek and lower bust. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.6 (2013-2014) holder.
