Draped Bust 50C 1806 Draped Bust 50C 1806
Pointed 6, Stem
Original New Price
July 23 Price Reduction. Attractive Higher Grade Offering. Original Surfaces, Crusty Gray-Rose Toning, Fully Struck, Conservative Grading, Midwest Collection. A conservatively graded 1806 Draped Bust half dollar offering with a big bold strike! Obverse stars are rounded and hair curls deeply impressed. The reverse strike is equally impressive with high relief clouds and sharp definition of the upper left and right edge feathers. What appears to be wear on the lower tail feathers is probably isolated strike weakness. Original surfaces are toned over with crusty gray-rose patina with embedded gray-blues on the reverse. The familiar O-115 die crack through the base of date and up through the lower left stars is bold and evident. A strong example with limited wear. Housed in new PCGS Gen 6.0S gold shield holder. The PCGS label reads, "O-115 Pointed 6, Stem." Another quality offering from the new Midwest Collection consignor.
