Gold G$2.5 1895 Gold G$2.5 1895

Choice $1700 Low CAC Population, Complete Strike, Brilliant Luster, Light Orange-Gold. The U.S. $2.5 Liberty gold series is full of surprisingly low mintage date. One of those dates happens to be 1895 where total Philadelphia mintage amounted to 6,000 piece. This is one of the truly last scarce quarter eagle dates with most suvivors found graded MS63 and MS64. PCGS has graded ninety-two examples in those two grades. Amazingly, the CAC population for both PCGS and NGC is five at MS63 level and eight in 64. Data does not lie and indicates that survivors often come with issues, along with few every circulating. GFRC is thrilled to be offering an near-gem example with flashy fields and complete strike. Luster texture is between frosty and lightly mirrored, if that can be visualized. Light orange-gold coloring adds to the delightful eye appeal. Housed in newer NGC holder with edge view insert and CAC approval.
