$525 		Choice Original, Steven Vitale Collection.. Sharp wire rims and a bold strike were promptly noted when cataloging this near-gem 1878 dime. The die variety is unlisted as I'm unable to match this piece with any of those previously defined in the web-book. Brilliant frosted luster is partially muted by the thick multi-color patina. Rose and aquamarine shades are predominate on the obverse while the reverse exhibits center aquamarine surrounded by overlapping copper and yellow gold. Accurately graded as there are a few well hidden micro lines of little consequence during normal viewing. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2022) holder. December 1969
