 Choice $5250 New September 2! Satiny Late Die State, Choice Original, Massachusetts Collection.. Glowing satiny luster highlights faint golden patina on both sides, with heavy metal flow lines a result of late die state dies. The strike is perfectly solid with sharp details in the ribbon. F-101, the only die pair for the issue, without the reverse strike doubling seen in later die states. This San Francisco date sports a mintage of 260,000 and typical of the late 1860s era. A reasonable number of survivors are known with the PCGS price guide listing 10 certified at the offered grade and only five finer.
