 Choice $2350 New September 2! Open 3, Choice Original, Massachusetts Collection.. After researching and selling Liberty Seated dimes going on 35 years, there are notable conclusions. One is that the 1873 No Arrows Open 3 date continues to be underrated for its overall scarcity. It just does not garner an respect and is the Rodney Dangerfield of the dime series. The PCGS and CDN price guides are much too conservative given that only 18 are stickered with four better and the finest MS65 Fortin specimen realizing $13,500 at auction. This F-101 example exhibits thick frosted luster and a complete strike. Light gold patina is evident on both sides. Circular die cracks throughout the wreath exactly match those for the F-101 Liberty Seated dime die variety plate coin. This near-gem example offers old time eye appeal at a fair reserve.
